DIY: Time Out Jar

I absolutely LOVE this idea. So I had to make one for my 4 year old and try it out. The idea is when the "Time Out Jar" is in their hands they are quiet and sit till all the glitter falls to the bottom (about 5 minute for this recipe), adjust recipe accordingly. Once the glitter has fallen to the bottom and they are calm, then its time to talk it out. It give them something to focus on, and sorta keep track of time and most importantly gives them time to calm down before they speak. Well here is what you need:
1 Mason Jar
2 TBS. Of Glitter Glue
2 Cups HOT Water
2 to 4 Drops Of Food Coloring
Place the water, glitter glue and food coloring in the mason jar (you may need to heat up the water in the microwave before placing the lid on to make sure the glue dissolves, then place lid on tightly...as it cools the glue will dissolve and the glitter will fall to the bottom. More glitter glue equals more time, less glue equals less time. =]
When the time out begins shake the jar a bit and hand it to them. Once the glitter settles its time to talk. =] Let me know how you like it or if you plan to try it! =] Pin it if you like it!
Big thanks to Juggling With Kids for this craft!
