Cleaning Tip: Ink Stains

Do you have any hand sanitizer stock piled? Well I have a new use for it other than sanitizing your hands... Say hello to your new stain remover, well as far as ink stains go. Simply put hand sanitizer all over the ink stain, rub it in a little, let sit for 10 to 15 minutes and wash. That is it. Go to One Good Thing By Jillee to check out her before and afters! AMAZING! Cleaning Tip: Water Stains On Wood

I originally saw this tip on Charles and Hudson, when I was searching for ways to "refresh my table tops." All you need is toothpaste and a few rags. NO GEL! Just simply put a light coat of paste on the water ring or stain. Let sit for a minute or two then gently rub. The site also suggest to stay in the area and do not scrub to long or hard, as it may make the spot worse. Just a little paste on the ring and light rubbing. I have a few stains I will be trying this out on ( I haven't yet.) Let me know how it works for you! Keep me updated! Happy cleaning!

Faceook Starts Charging! It has hit MSMAP! :(

Last week I posted a link to an article about Facebook charging page owners to "promote" their status updates. I assumed the change would be slow going, similar to "Timeline", but it has already his the MSMAP Fan Page. Today while posting a link/status, a window popped up, showing me their new "Promoting Feature." I clicked it and this is what I saw....

Now in order for my status updates, deals, photos, freebies, and more to reach all my fans I must pay! This "promote" button is now on the bottom of ALL my post! Along with an estimate of the percentage of fans that are seeing my post without it, which is sadly only about 6%! I say SHAME ON YOU FACEBOOK for going back on your word. You "claimed" to always be free. This is not FREE.  It order for ALMOST all my fans to see my post I must pay $20.... For fan pages with a fan base of 20,000 even 40,000 even 100,000 I would hate to see your charge!! I think this was a bad move on Facebook's part and I see it hurting them ALOT! I fear fan pages will slowly become extinct. I mean what is the point if no one can see what we post? Facebook I think your about to become another Myspace.... bye bye.

Cleaning Tip: Headlights

So I ran across this tip on Pinterest, it is originally from E-how. I have not gotten to try it yet because my headlights are new, but I did however see a before and after. I can not wait to try it out on my husbands old Bronco! All you need is toothpaste and a rag. You put toothpaste on the rag and rub it on the headlight in a circular motion (like your waxing or buffing it) till it breaks down the grime. Then rinse with water and wipe clean! That is it! How Easy! I can definitely see why it would work. I mean toothpaste breaks down grime on your teeth. Why not headlights? Well please let me know how it works for you!! Happy Cleaning!

*Update: Tried it out on my grandma's car today! You can see this difference for yourself. It takes some elbow grease but I only spent about 10 minutes on it! Think what they would look like if I repeated it a few times!!  WOW!
