Coupon Lingo:
$1/1, $1/2: One dollar off one item, one dollar off two items, etc.
2/$1, 3/$2: Two items for one dollar, three items for two dollars, etc.
B1G1: Buy one item get one item free
B2G1: Buy two items get one item free
Beep: Sometimes the register will beep when a coupon is scanned to indicate that the cashier need to take an action, like entering a price.
Blinkies: Grocery/drugstore coupon dispensers with blinking lights
Catalina: Catalina coupon, prints from a separate machine when your receipt prints
CRT: Cash register tape, usually used when referring to CVS coupons that print with receipt
DND: Do not double

ECBs: ExtraCare Bucks, CVS loyalty rewards system
ETS: Excludes trial size

GC: Gift card
IVC: Instant Value Coupon, Walgreens' store coupons found in ads and monthly booklet

Tips and Tricks
1. Always try to match a coupon with a sale!
2. Buy multiple sunday papers ( I buy 5 )
3. Print Coupons
4.Only clip the coupons you know you will use it will save you time!
5.Pay close attention to store policy one rule can mess up your whole transaction. You can call costumer service for any question regaurding policy.
6.Type up a spread sheet so you know what you have in your coupon binder, box, or bag...My spead sheets include the store name, item, sale price, coupon, number of items I'll be purchasing, and my final cost... That way I have an idea of what ill be spending! =]
7. Just because you have a coupon DOES NOT mean you need to use it, wait till it goes on sale. A sale usually follows close behind a coupon!
8. Shop around don't just use one store... I shop at CVS, Walmart, Kroger, and Family dollar
9. Always make a list and FOLLOW IT!
10. Dont go to the store with a empty tummy. You will end up drifting away from you list and spend wayyy to much!
11. Sales moves with the Seasons.. Keep that in mind.
12. Find a item you can get overage on and get as many coupons for that item as you can....If your store allows it you can rack up a good amount of overage to use on other items such as meat, milk, and non coupon items!!!
13. Go to you local Recycle Center most of them have a special ben for newspapers and inserts ( you can snag a ton. )
14. Set goals and budgets for yourself!
15. If the store puts out a "store coupon" you can often "stack" a manufactured coupon on top of it to max your savings!!
16. If the couon does not specify size, by smaller it will save you.. Bigger is not always a better value!
17. Like a product? Email the company and tell them, they will often send you a coupon for it!
