Photo Snow Globe: How To

So I LOOOVED doing this project today, and if I do say so myself it turned out adorable! It was so easy and fun! These would make great gifts for any occasion. I originally found this how to on "Simply Kelly". So here is what you need....

  • 1 Jar ( any jar is fine...baby food, salsa, mason, etc.)
  • 2 pictures or art work
  • Decorative items ( ribbon, stickers, etc.)
  • Beads or Glitter ( I heard beads work better )
  • Laminating Sheets found in school supplies at WalMart ( you can also use clear adhesive paper found with shelf liners at WalMart)
  • Glue or double sided tape
  • You may also want a glue gun. I found one for $4 at Walmart. =]

Step 1- Glue pictures/artwork back to back.

Step 2- Measure height and width of jar and cut picture accordingly (remember when you laminate the picture it will add a 1/4 in. or more)  Also you want the picture to fit within the jar tightly.

Step 3- Laminate picture

Step 4- Place picture in jar ( depening on if you will have the jar upright or upside down)

Step 5- Place beads/glitter in jar

Step 6- Put jar in to bowl and then fill jar till it over flows with water ( this is important you want as little air as possible!)

Step 7- Place lid on jar ( I super glued mine just to be safe)

Step 8- Decorate jar as you please. =]

That is it! Have fun and stay frugal!
